Kogi State university students are protesting at the time of this report. It's not longer a breaking news that Kogi State university Asuu chapter embarked on strike since late February. This was due to failure of the Kogi State
government to meet up with demands of the union.
Today being 20 of April 2015,the angry and anxious students were seen at the surrounding of the university and some on the street protesting for the strike to be called off following a meeting held today at Kogi State university, Anyigba, by the university's Asuu chapter which resolved that the strike should continue.
Prior to the protest, rumours waved among the students saying the strike has been called Off while others protest otherwise, saying the strike is yet to be called Off.
According to our source, Kogi State government has had countless meetings which usually end up in deadlock with the union in an attempt to end the strike.
